What Does At Home Senior Care Include?
For many seniors, aging at home and maintaining their independence is preferred over moving into a nursing home. Often, it’s the little things like meal preparation, accompanying to doctor appointments, and help around the house that are needed most to make living at home possible. Additionally, caregivers can provide help with getting dressed, personal hygiene, and companionship where more intense supervision and assistance is required.

What Does Insurance Pay For?
Unfortunately, Medicare and regular health insurance do not cover long-term in-home senior care services. Private Long Term Care Insurance, or LTC, covers most of the costs associated with caring for seniors as they age and need assistance with their daily routines. Medicaid Managed Care Plans also cover many of these services.
